This is a highly participative course that is intended for managers of Housing First services, managers in the homelessness sector and managers of partner agencies.
It is a blended learning course that requires participants to complete pre and post course work and attend a 3 hour online session via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
The aim of the session is to explore the history and context of Housing First and what makes Housing First different to other approaches in Scotland. In addition, the session will discuss the culture and ethos of the model.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this half day session you will:
- Identify the 7 principles of Housing First and examine the challenges and changes required to implement the approach.
- Explore the evidence for Housing First in Scotland
- Clearly identify the role of the manager with regards to partnership working, the service and leading and developing Housing First in Scotland.
